Our national income: do we realize?

The election day is around the corner. Everyone shares their opinion about the party they support. Sometimes I feel the material they share instead of a scientific and factual but more curse which the validity is uncertainty.I do not want to talk about the politics here. I just want to share my findings toward the reality of our country.
I watched the presentation of the country transformation report in 2016, and PM was presented that the income generation from oil and gas was shrunk from 48% before to be 16% only and the GST contributed to 28% of the income generation. From this statement, we knew that the GST did not contribute to the addition of the country income, it was just a compensation of the dropped income from oil and gas. Unfortunately, it is still not enough. I know that GST is a burden to the low and middle class of the people, but do we have other options? I don't have any idea how to generate more income for the country. Maybe, you do...
This article shows that the GST is  one of the compensations of the income generation http://www.sinarharian.com.my/mobile/nasional/pengeluar-minyak-kedudukan-malaysia-lebih-baik-1.472273
If you want to know more about taxes and other related to economic, you may read the posts on Facebook from a person who has an economic background Abdul Rahman Kamis. I like the way he reviewed as an academician. This post is about GST:

I have watched the 'TV3 Soal Jawab' via Youtube and I think it is good we know the reality of the current country financial situation.
Based on the statement from Dr Muhd Khalid, the total income is mostly used for the management budget which includes the salary payment etc. We owe for the development budget such as the construction of schools, hospitals and others. What do you can conclude from this? Actually, we do not have enough money to manage the country.. that is the reality... and it is so sad... if the management budget is reduced, what do you think will happen? I hope you are wise to think.
Anyone who looks after the government must face the same thing. Either PH, PAS or BN... So, don't offer the 'sweet dream' promises if you are not able to generate more income for the country. Be realistic... We are not a developed country yet.
Lastly, I hope we will achieve the developed country in the future. If today, Malaysia's income is about RM200++ billion almost same as Toyota/Honda income per year, hopefully someday we can achieve as Japan's income. At that time, it might be the minimum salary is RM5k. Insya Allah. Ameen.

*income here represents national income
